To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many people have been convicted of carrying a knife in a public place in each of the last five years.
The table shows the number of convictions in England and Wales for carrying a knife in a public place for the years 2000 to 2004. Data for 2005 will be available in autumn 2006.
