To ask the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry what the budget is for the Equal Opportunities Commission for (a) 2005–06 and (b) 2006–07.

The resource budget allocation for the EOC for 2005–06 is £9.75 million. This is made up of a baseline funding of £8.005 million plus and additional DTI funding of £1.7 million including £500,000 for the gender duty giving a total of £9.75 million.

The 2006–07 budgets for EOC, as with all programmes, have not yet been finalised.
