To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department what the rates of reconviction were after (a) home detention curfew and (b) imprisonment in the latest period for which figures are available; and if he will make a statement.

Offenders are monitored while on the home detention curfew scheme but information on reconviction after home detention curfew has ended is not routinely collected. Information on reconviction rates following imprisonment are published on an annual basis by the Home Office. The most recent data were published in Appendix A (in particular, table A5) of Reoffending by adults: results from the 2002 cohort" (HO Online Report 25/05) an online copy of which can be found at:
