asked Her Majesty's Government:

How many anti-dumping investigations have been instituted by the European Union since the appointment of the present Commissioner for Trade.

Since the Commission headed by President Barroso took office on 22 November 2004, a total of 41 anti-dumping investigations have been initiated. Of these 15 relate to the opening of new anti-dumping cases and 26 relate to reviews of existing anti-dumping cases.
