To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department how many people (a) were successful in applying for a visa to enter the UK and (b) failed in their visa application in (i) 2003, (ii) 2004 and (iii) 2005.

Details of successful and unsuccessful visa applications in the requested years are as follows:
