To ask the Secretary of State for Health what the average cost was of a national health service dental check-up in (a) England, (b) London and (c) Uxbridge constituency in each of the last 10 years for which figures are available.
The fee for a national health service dental check-up is fixed across England. This fee is set by the Department and is reviewed each year, usually in April.
The dentists' fees since 1994 have been as follows:
