To ask the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs what representations she has received from farmers on the recent announcement on the EU sugar reforms.
Farmers representatives have recognised the sugar agreement as a tough but necessary reform, removing recent uncertainties about the future of the sector. They have also asked for early discussions with Ministers on the detail of the compensation arrangements for UK sugar beet growers.
