To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department what reports he has received of breaches of the Hunting Act 2004; and what steps were taken in response.

The investigation of reported breaches of the Hunting Act 2004 is a matter for the police. The Association of Chief Police Officers has issued guidance for police forces on the practical aspects of enforcing the Act and a training package.

Secretary of State was originally the title given to the two officials who conducted the Royal Correspondence under Elizabeth I. Now it is the title held by some of the more important Government Ministers, for example the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs.
