To ask the Minister of State, Department for Constitutional Affairs what guidelines her Department has given to electoral registration offices on the timing of the despatch of postal ballots; and whether she plans to change this advice.

Guidance to electoral administrators is issued by the Electoral Commission. The Commission issued a comprehensive set of guidance materials at the most recent general election which included advice on the despatch of postal ballot papers.
