To ask the Secretary of State for Health what the average time has been for the National Institute for Clinical Excellence to issue guidance on cancer treatments once they have been licensed by the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency in each year since 2000.

It would be not possible to provide an average yearly figure that was in any way meaningful, given that many of the cancer drugs National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) has appraised were licensed some years, as much as six years in some cases, before the formation of NICE.
