To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer what his estimate is of the average waiting time to get through on the public tax credit helpline for each month since January 2003; and if he will make a statement.
The following table shows average waiting times for those calls that were answered by tax credits helpline advisers in 2003–04, 2004–05 and the current tax year.
