To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department what contingency plans the Department is making in the event that the identity card technology goes wrong.
We are planning for the scheme to comply with industry best practice business continuity and disaster recovery processes to ensure that the core business is able to function in the event of a major disruption or loss of technical infrastructure
