To ask the Secretary of State for Defence what discussions he has had with (a) Barnet council and (b) the Mayor of London concerning the future of the site at Inglis Barracks, Mill Hill when it is no longer required by his Department; and if he will make a statement.

Discussions with the London borough of Barnet as to the future use of the site and the council's intention to establish a Development Framework Agreement for Mill Hill East are in progress. As part of this process, officers from the London borough of Barnet visited the barracks on 10 March 2005, together with representatives from the Greater London authority, Transport for London and English Partnerships.
