To ask the Secretary of State for Health what comparisons his Department has made of the prevalence of hepatitis C in Scotland with that in the remainder of the UK.
The estimated prevalence of antibody to hepatitis C for the general population in Scotland is 0.9 per cent., compared with 0.5 per cent, for England.
