To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer how many representations entitled 'peace tax returns' have been received by the Treasury.
We have no central record of the number of representations received entitled 'peace tax returns'.

It may be one of those technically honest but unhelpful answers...fair cop.
But I wonder if there's another MySociety project here, to be done icw Conscience (I know you have too many already)
- a register of people who would choose to divert their money from defence spending towards peace tax as soon as is legal to do so

I don't think this sort of answer is honest or fair. Her answer is technically equivalent to: "I do not have that number with me on my desk." So much for the 600 quid they claim it takes to answer each question.
It always shows disrespect to MPs when they give this sort of answer. Do you think that if Tony Blair posed this question he'd get a proper answer? There's no reason that MPs shouldn't be given the same due respect.
