To ask the Secretary of State for Education and Skills how many students who entered medical training in the current academic year were from (a) the UK, (b) other countries in the European Union and (c) outside the European Union; and what the corresponding figures were for each of the past 10 years for which figures are available.
The available information for England is shown in the table. Information for Scottish, Welsh and Northern Irish medical schools is the responsibility of the devolved Administrations.
