To ask the Prime Minister what assessment he has made of whether the European Evidence Warrant complies with the Human Rights Act 1998.

Under Article 6 of the Treaty on European Union, all legislative instruments must respect fundamental rights, as guaranteed by the European Convention on Human Rights. The Government would of course ensure that implementing legislation was compatible with the Human Rights Act.
