To ask the Secretary of State for Wales what plans he has to update computer (a) hardware and (b) software standard packages used in his Department.

The Wales Office IT is provided as part of the DCA's corporate network. There are no plans to update the existing hardware. Our PFI supplier will, as part of their contractual commitment, update software, including operating systems, office automation and applications, within the next 12 months.
