Prime Minister written question – answered at on 26 June 2003.
To ask the Prime Minister what assessment he has made of the consequences his proposal to abolish the Lord Chancellorship will have on the Church of England churches for which the Lord Chancellor has the benefice.
The arrangements for these appointments currently remain unchanged with the appointment of my right hon. and noble Friend Lord Falconer of Thoroton as the Lord Chancellor. This will be looked at during the transitional period.
