To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department what recruitment and deployment practices exist for the appointment of a police borough commander in a London Borough; and if he will make a statement.
The appointment of a police borough commander to a London borough is an operational policing matter that falls under the jurisdiction of the Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis.
