To ask the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry if she will direct the Office of Fair Trading to examine (a) the reasons why Rotherham RFU club has been denied access to the Zurich Premier League, (b) the head leases and ownership clauses of the current members of the English Rugby Limited and (c) whether England Rugby Limited is a cartel.

Under UK competition legislation the Director General of Fair Trading is responsible for monitoring markets and investigating allegations of anti-competitive behaviour. Any evidence of anti-competitive behaviour should be sent directly to the Office of Fair Trading.
