To ask the Secretary of State for International Development how many and what proportion of the staff of her Department are part-time employees.

Of the 1,597 staff who are employed in DFID headquarters in London and East Kilbride, 123 staff work part-time. This equates to 7.7 per cent. of our HQ work force.
