Whether the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport will visit Belfast soon in connection with that City's European Capital of Culture 2008 bid.

My right honourable friend the Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport will not be making visits to any cities solely in connection with a bid for the Capital of Culture title. DCMS Ministers will, however, continue to visit for other reasons. My right honourable friend visited Belfast in October 2001 but she currently has no plans for a further visit.
