In response to concerns raised at the House of Lords Select Committee, an assurance was given about the provision of a locomotive fuelling point at Stratford. The terms of the occupation and use of land by the then Mainline Freight were to be the subject of further detailed negotiations on lease terms and other issues between the company and London & Continental Railways.
