To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will list the level of social security contributions in Scotland over each of the last five years (a) in total and (b) as a percentage of the United Kingdom total.

Estimates of social security contributions relating to residents of Scotland can be found in the Scottish Executive publication "Government Expenditure and Revenue in Scotland, 1998–99".
