The DTI Consultation Paper on options for implementing the Directive, copies of which were placed in the Libraries of both Houses, includes a partial regulatory impact assessment. A fuller assessment of the cost to businesses will be made when the precise method of implementation has been decided, following consideration of responses received in the consultation exercise.
