To ask the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry how many claims for Icelandic trawlermen's compensation are not yet dealt with; and what legal advice she has received on the validity of this delay.

All claims received have been scrutinised and entered into the special computer system established for the scheme. I am satisfied that there has been no undue delay.
