Mr. Arthur Lewis asked the Lord President of the Council whether he will give the reasons why he will not move to appoint a Select Committee to investigate all matters connected with the recent series of riots and to ascertain what action Parliament should take to prevent recurrence of such incidents.

Mr. Pym: I am satisfied that the House already has adequate means of considering these matters without the establishment of a further Select Committee.
