I thank the Minister for the points that he is making. However, it is sometimes said to me by timber growers that certification is an expense: it produces public goods but little economic benefit for the timber producer, because people pay nothing more for it. As there is a public good, would the Government consider subsidising or paying for certification of private woodlands?
