I am grateful to my right hon. Friend and would not expect him to be able to make a clear commitment now. Can he assure me, however, that the Government are always open to representations from local authorities and others about high development costs, especially in central London? Shared ownership and social housing development for larger family units--dear to the hearts of Labour Members--is difficult, so we must engage in continuing discussions to find ways of making such developments economically feasible.
