To ask the Scottish Executive what percentage of children it estimates to be rated as reaching a good level of development at age five, also broken down by (a) NHS board and (b) local authority area.

There is no single definition of what constitutes "good development at age five" and several possible measures may be used as indicators. This information is not therefore held centrally. Local delivery agencies may choose to collect a range of information to report on "good development" in their single outcome agreements.
