To ask the Scottish Executive what opportunities are offered to teachers of deaf children to access nationally accredited continuing professional development courses related to the education of deaf children.
The Scottish Government is fully committed to ensuring that teachers continue to develop their skills to help achieve better outcomes for every child and young person. However, it is for each local authority to determine the resources available for continuing professional development, having regard to national and local priorities.
Currently there are a number of accredited continuing professional development courses related to the education of deaf children.
