To ask the Scottish Executive, in light of recent media interest in funding available from the Big Lottery Fund (BLF) and the fact that ministers will be setting new high-level policy directions for the BLF in Scotland from 2009, whether the Scottish Government will set out the (a) level of funding lost to the BLF as a direct result of diversion to the 2012 London Olympics and (b) the levels of funding it expects the BLF to have available for distribution in each of the next six years.

(a) The diversion from the Big Lottery Fund in Scotland as a result of the 2012 Olympics is estimated at £73 million. The diversion will have the biggest impact in 2009-10 and 2010-11.
(b) The Big Lottery Fund in Scotland reports that the following levels of funding are expected over the next six years. This includes funding for both existing commitments and for new activities.
