We have no plans to change the regulation of Saver fares in Scotland. Both Transport Scotland and First ScotRail are being kept informed of discussions between the Department for Transport and train operators about potential changes to saver regulation in England. The Department for Transport is also aware of Scottish Ministers’ objective to increase the proportion of journeys between Scotland and England made by rail.
