To ask the Scottish Executive how many workers are employed in tourism and tourism-related industries in each local authority area.

The latest data held currently estimates that there are just under 210,000 people employed in tourism related businesses across Scotland, which represents 9% of the total workforce. The number of people that are employed in tourism, and tourism-related industries in each local authority area across Scotland is shown in the following table:
