The Executive recognises the importance of ensuring that information on epilepsy is available on a consistent basis no matter where in Scotland the person lives. The epilepsy Managed Clinical Networks, both adult and paediatric, have a key role to play in achieving this aim. Local implementation of the SIGN Guidelines on epilepsy will also promote consistency in information-giving, and the voluntary sector has an important role too.
