To ask the Scottish Executive what representations it has made to Grampian University Hospitals NHS Trust regarding the retention of paediatric services at Dr Gray’s Hospital in Elgin and other hospitals serving rural communities.

The planning and provision of paediatric services are matters for health boards and NHS Trusts. I understand from Grampian Health Board and Grampian University Hospitals NHS Trust that there is no intention to withdraw the paediatric service provided to the people of Moray.
