Question S1O-2005

Glasgow City Council and Scottish Enterprise Glasgow are addressing this issue in order to maximise the employment and training benefits of these projects. Scottish Enterprise Glasgow are taking a proactive approach to the funding of training in the construction related trades.

The council is committed to providing 1,000 construction-based accredited training places in the current financial year and are working with employers and S4 pupils to encourage uptake of training in the construction industry.
