To ask the Scottish Executive what implications the requirements of asylum seekers placed with local authorities in Scotland will have for the housing stock transfer proposals.

Arrangements to accommodate asylum seekers should have no adverse implications for housing stock transfer proposals. Following a transfer, it will be open to the National Asylum Support Service to arrange accommodation with Registered Social Landlords or other housing providers in an area.
