The Glasgow and Aberdeenshire DATs and health boards are currently carrying out an investigation into the cause of the recent deaths. They are liaising with each other, as well as with voluntary groups and experts from the medical professions from around the world on this issue. Extra funding to assist the investigations has not been requested, and the Scottish Executive has no plans to make funding available specifically for this purpose. The Scottish Executive is being provided with daily updates on the investigation of this issue.
