Welsh Government is working closely with the health board to drive sustainable improvement to safe and timely health and care services. (Translated) Will the First Minister make a statement on recycling rates in Vale of Clwyd?

Photo of Vaughan Gething Vaughan Gething Labour

I welcome the current introduction by Denbighshire of their new recycling service. This should put them in a good position to achieve the 70% minimum target which begins this financial year. I also thank them for their contribution to Wales now being second in the world for municipal recycling.

(Translated) What steps is the Welsh Government taking towards the devolution of powers regarding assisted dying to Wales?

Photo of Vaughan Gething Vaughan Gething Labour

Welsh Government does not have plans to seek devolution of powers for assisted dying. This is a complex issue with moral and legal considerations, and we have agreed with the UK Government a neutral position. We continue working with the NHS in Wales to provide high-quality end-of-life care and support to people.
