Welsh Government have successfully implemented specialist job coach support for people, including those with learning disabilities, within the Jobs Growth Wales Plus programme, Apprenticeships and through Further Education provision.

The National Clinical Lead for Women’s Health has recently been appointed. She will lead the National Strategic Clinical Network for Women’s Health, which is currently being established. The network will develop the Women’s Health Plan, engaging with women and girls and building on the recommendations in the published Discovery report.

(Translated) What discussions has the Welsh Government had with the Chief Medical Officer for Wales regarding gender services in Wales?

The NHS Wales Joint Commissioning Committee (JCC) is responsible for commissioning gender identity services for Wales. The Office of the Chief Medical Officer is included in routine meetings between the Welsh Government and the JCC in relation to gender identity services.

Our 2024/25 budget is worth £700m less than when it was agreed. We worked to mitigate impacts on cultural organisations, but tough decisions were required. Discussions with UK Government are underway through the Cultural and Creative Industries Inter-Ministerial Group where we are seeking their commitment to ongoing investment in culture.
