Evidence on the impacts of the rent cap in Scotland has been submitted in response to our Green Paper Consultation on housing adequacy and fair rents. This is being considered, alongside other evidence, to inform the development of a White Paper to be published later this year.

Homes that are rented privately are required to meet the Domestic Minimum Efficient Standards set by the UK Government. We continue to work with UK Government to understand how these standards can be set, to increase the requirements of private sector landlords and increase the quality of Welsh housing.
