Electricity demand in Wales will increase substantially due to electrification of heat, transport and business needs. We need a strategic solution to updating our grid infrastructure to give people reliable access to clean heat, transport, and fair work. The Welsh Government published the Future Grids for Wales report in July 2023.

Farmers who have sites of special scientific interest on their land play a vital role in safeguarding our precious natural environment. The Sustainable Farming Scheme consultation seeks views on how to manage these sites and I encourage everyone to have their say and respond to the consultation.
