Did you mean Edwin roots?
Danny Kennedy: I call Mr Edwin Poots for a question. There may not be time for a supplementary question.
Edwin Poots: Yes, I will give way to you.
Edwin Poots: — than it was to loyalist areas. It is funny that, when it is money coming to loyalist areas — I am proud to be a loyalist by the way: loyal to the Queen and loyal to my country — the Alliance Party is complaining.
Edwin Poots: Show the Speaker some respect.
Edwin Poots: He has had his opportunity and berated everyone, so he can listen for a moment or two instead of trying to talk over the top of people, because he is not going to succeed.
Edwin Poots: Yes, Mr Beggs.
Robin Newton: Mr Edwin Poots is not in his place.
Edwin Poots: Will the Member give way?
Edwin Poots: Yes.
Edwin Poots: Hear, hear. [Laughter.]
Edwin Poots: The funding that was identified has been issued. The Department has been carrying out work on fencing that was damaged during the flood since November.
Edwin Poots: I thank the Member for his question. Since 2015, 52 people have been convicted of illegal waste disposal offences through the criminal courts. Of the 52 convicted, one person was sentenced to a custodial term of six months' imprisonment.
Edwin Poots: Each farm is allowed to make an application every 10 years, and that goes with the farm, not with the individual. If there are two separate and distinct farms, they will be able to apply for two sites every 10 years. However, it needs to be the case that there is a separate and distinct farm unit.
Edwin Poots: Yes, we will continue to work on the issue and to see whether we can amend the regulations around it, so that, if an ownership changes but the purpose continues to be the same, others will not be able to drop out of previous agreements.
Edwin Poots: Of course we are. I am here to serve Members, because they serve the people of Northern Ireland, so I am happy to meet the Member.
Edwin Poots: Sorry, the Northern Ireland —?
Edwin Poots: That goes across all sectors. There is a significant opportunity. We are currently sending £22 million a year back to Westminster. We need to get this issue right, not rushed.
Edwin Poots: That is absolutely critical in the debate. I give way to the Member.
Edwin Poots: I think that we are —.
Edwin Poots: Belvoir is an inner-city one, which is a real asset to the city that many cities do not have. There are many forests, which are a huge asset to the community and economy.
