Written Answers — Cabinet Office: Brexit (30 Sep 2019)

Gavin Shuker: To ask the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster and Minister for the Cabinet Office, what steps he has taken to amend the Get Ready for Brexit advertising campaign as a result of the European Union (Withdrawal) (No. 2) Act 2019.

Priorities for Government (25 Jul 2019)

Gavin Shuker: The central policy of the Government is now to deliver Brexit in October, including without a deal. As such, it is unclear whether the Prime Minister commands a majority in this House. Will he now do what the Leader of the Opposition will not do: prove his own political virility and table a motion of confidence for the House to vote on when we return?

Oral Answers to Questions — Northern Ireland: Devolved Government: Restoration (3 Jul 2019)

Gavin Shuker: The Secretary of State’s mapping exercise on the impact of Brexit on Northern Ireland revealed 96 areas directly underpinned by or linked to EU law. That is one aspect, but the genesis of the Bill is as a piece of legislation that seeks to comply with EU directives,...

Budget Resolutions - Amendment of the Law (13 Mar 2017)

Gavin Shuker: May I begin by agreeing with the comments of the hon. Member for Mid Worcestershire (Nigel Huddleston) about air passenger duty and the effect of Brexit on UK aviation? The former Chancellor, the right hon. Member for Tatton (Mr Osborne), did not have many great reforming achievements, but let me praise one: the emergence of the Office for Budget Responsibility, which is essentially the...

Registration of Marriage Bill: Leaving the EU: Aviation Sector (25 Nov 2016)

Gavin Shuker: ...because of aviation. We are a world-leading nation in aviation services, and we represent a quarter, by nationality, of all European passengers. Should the Prime Minister stick to her original Brexit timetable, in a little over two years the UK will be out not just of the EU but of the European single aviation market. With no automatic fall-back for the governance of aviation rights, and...
