Sajid Javid: The ONS does not provide information on non-retirement savings by age or by income group. Some additional information of interest may be found in the ONS wealth and asset survey. Data from the ONS show total financial assets excluding pensions and reserves were approximately £34,000 per person and £80,000 per household, in June 2012.

Sajid Javid: As envisaged in the framework document setting out the Treasury's relationship with the Crown Estate, my officials meet the Crown Estate to discuss its investment strategy in general terms once a year. The agreed strategy is summarised in the Crown Estate's annual report, for example the current strategy is at pages 18-19 of the 2011-12 report.

The consultation gathered views and evidence from stakeholders—more than 500 responses were received from all sectors. Sajid Javid: The Government will publish their assessment of the impact of minimum unit pricing alongside the Alcohol Strategy consultation. This will consider the impact of a minimum unit price on a number of factors including on the Exchequer, crime, health, consumption and businesses, including the pub industry.

Sajid Javid: The independent Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) of the Bank of England has operational responsibility for setting monetary policy in order to meet the inflation target in the medium term. Monetary policy is a macroeconomic tool used to affect the economy as a whole rather than to target support towards specific sectors.

Sajid Javid: Yes. There is no geographical division within the United Kingdom as regards the total amount of £50 billion that is being allocated in the Bill. Sajid Javid: HMRC has commissioned research on the effect that differential prices at UK airports could have upon the overall demand for aviation and upon passengers' choice of airport. A full report on the findings of the research will be published on HMRC's website in due course.
