Nicky Morgan: It is not possible to breakdown the revenue the Crown Estate receives from its offshore activity against constituency boundaries onshore. Nicky Morgan: The Crown Estate operates commercially at arm’s length from the Treasury. The Crown Estate makes commercial decisions in line with the Crown Estate Act 1961 and does not normally discuss them in detail with the Treasury.

Nicky Morgan: Income received by the Crown Estate for offshore wind farms is not based on the number of turbines deployed. Instead, its income is based on either a fee per unit of electricity generated by the wind farm or a small percentage of the developer's revenue from power sales from the scheme.
