I am not sure that the minister will be able to deal with it in terms of existing guidelines or contracts of employment for sheriffs, but I am agnostic on the necessity for it. Amendment 19 is interesting. I read section 11B(5) entirely differently. It states that the part-time sheriff "may be reappointed and shall be entitled to be reappointed unless—"....
