Thank you for raising this most important and delicate issue.
It is quite clear that an unelected advisory group, the Honours & Decorations Committee), have denied brave men and women the right to formally wear this most honorable award.
Many in Malaysia are aghast at this and are confused as to why the British Sovereign will not step in and use her authority to reverse her decision derived from the recommendation made by her advisory committee.
I think it is marvellous that Mr. Straw and the Prime Minister are aware and watching the devlopments with regard to the Pingat Jasa Malaysia medal. Many here in Malaysia are also watching, but what exactly is Mr. Straw or Mr. Blair going to do about this injustice?
